Shyam Sundar's music in the film Lahore was one of his few yet most reminiscent creations. All the songs of Lahore carried a speciality with them. Shyam Sundar was very much impressed with Noor Jahan's singing and he composed few very beautiful songs for her. Though the songs of Lahore were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, but, they had the typical Noor Jahan touch. Songs like 'Baharen Phir Bhi Aayengi Magar Hum Tum Juda Honge..', 'Toote Huye Armanon Ki Ek Duniya..', 'Ik Aas Bandhaye Jaate Hain.' and 'Us Dil Ki Kismat..' sung by Lata Mangeshkar were the top chart busters. All the songs were picturised on Nargis who was the heroine of the film.

Two other songs of the film were sung by Karan Diwan who was also the hero of the film, songs were; 'Hum Jahan Mein Hain..' and 'Wahi Rota Hua Ek Dil..'. These songs could not gain as much popularity as Lata's songs did, but they too were composed very beautifully. Two Lata-Karan duets, 'Sun Lo Sajan Meri Baat..' and 'Duniya Hamare Pyar Ki Yun Hi Jawan Rahe..' were also quite popular. All in all, the music of Lahore was a real treat for music lovers. Lata Mangeshkar included Lahore's 'Baharen Phir Bhi Aayenge..' in her personal favourites. Such was the Shyam Sundar's composition.
